Q. I am a 62-year-old woman and I have had a recent flare-up of my esophagitis in my lower esophageal sphincter (LES) from my recent gastroenteric bypass (GERA). I have been prescribed Nexium, which I believe is the drug of choice for me. I am a 60-year-old woman with an active lifestyle and lifestyle habits to which I am committed, and I have been taking Nexium for about 4 days and I am taking it for about 5 days. I am concerned that Nexium may cause esophageal irritation. I do not know how long I have been taking Nexium, but I do not know what the long-term effects of Nexium may be. Do you have any information about long-term Nexium use?

A. The usual dose is 40mg, taken once or twice a day depending on individual response. It is important to continue taking the medication even when symptoms of GERD are gone, and to not miss any doses. It is also important to note that Nexium can cause diarrhea, but this is rare and is not a cause for concern. The frequency of gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) is less common than the frequency of esophageal irritation, but it is still an issue for many people.

I have recently been diagnosed with severe symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) in the past and was prescribed Nexium 40mg daily. I have had the stomach bug removed and I was wondering whether I would have been able to manage the GERD if I were not on Nexium. I have heard that Nexium can cause nausea, but is there a way to avoid that? I am also a 60-year-old woman, and the symptoms I have are much more concerning than the symptoms of GERD. I am concerned that I may have esophageal irritation from Nexium as I am taking it for about 5 days, but there is no way to control my symptoms without using Nexium.

Nexium should only be taken when prescribed by a doctor, but I have had frequent episodes of severe acid reflux. In fact, I have had frequent episodes of esophageal irritation. I am not sure how long it will take to heal the GERD and what I am doing to manage the symptoms of GERD. Do you think that the 40mg dose of Nexium can be used as an alternative to 40mg for adults with severe symptoms of GERD?

I have been taking Nexium for about 10 years, but I am concerned that I may have esophageal irritation. I have never had an esophageal irritation before. Can you tell me more about this?

Nexium is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and it works by decreasing stomach acid production in the stomach. However, it may also cause some side effects in some people. The most common side effects of PPI include headache, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, constipation, and diarrhea. In rare cases, PPI can cause heartburn and other digestive symptoms in rare cases. However, it is not possible to determine the exact cause of these side effects and it is recommended that these symptoms be treated with a different medicine.

I am 60 years old, and I am not a fan of the high dose 40mg dose of Nexium. Do you have any other suggestions to help avoid long-term side effects of Nexium?

The 40mg dose of Nexium should not be used for people with esophagitis or GERD. The symptoms of GERD can be serious and can happen even at the lowest dose. There are no studies that have looked into the long-term use of 40mg Nexium for GERD. If you have any questions or concerns about this dose of Nexium, talk to your doctor.

I have been on Nexium for almost two years and I am concerned that I may have esophageal irritation. I have had the stomach bug removed and I am taking the medication to help prevent it. What should I do if I have any questions?

Nexium is not a controlled substance and is not approved by the FDA for use in the United States.

You should not take the drug unless advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking the medication unless advised by your doctor. You should not take Nexium for any longer than prescribed.
